The Vow

As marriage vows are pledges shared between a bride and bridegroom during a ceremony that unites them and makes them one, so too should we vow to pledge our love, and our lives, to our LORD who will one day return for His bride, the church.  For truly we all, as believers in Christ Jesus, are a part of this body and will also be made one in Him upon His return.

THE VOW

From this day forward, for the rest of my life, I pledge myself to You.  I give You all my love, I give You all my hope, I give You all my trust, for You alone are my All in All.  I have been made in Your image, I have been bought with Your blood, and I have been given Your name.  I am Yours.

From this day forth, your plans will be my plans, Your will will be my will, Your desires will be my desires.  My feet will tread the pathway You clear, my hands will tend to the work You set before me, and my heart will enlarge to love those whom You place around me.  Much more than Your name will I bear, from this day forward Your image I will bear as well.

From this day forth, my strength will be found in You; You will be the Lifter of my head, You will be the Keeper of my heart, and You will be the Lover of my soul.  Into Your arms I come, before Your presence I stand, within Your grace I dance.   You are my Righteous Bridegroom and I am Your redeemed bride.
